Swann Special Care Hosts Haunted House

« Return to News

Swann Special Care Center recently held its 20th annual haunted house on October 31, 2014. Each year the Swann haunted house provides a fun and entertaining sensory experience for people with disabilities.

This year the conference room, art center and office areas at Swann School were transformed into a Haunted Circus. Included were two scary ringmasters, a caged gorilla, a bloodied lion tamer with a fierce lion, a terrifying clown, as well as gory trapeze, tight rope and high dive accidents.

Staff and volunteers from Swann dressed up as the various characters throughout the different areas of the haunted house. In the last section, refreshments were provided by two very gross and frightening vendors at the "Concession Stand." Overall, 177 individuals from Swann, Developmental Services Center, Macon Resources and the Urbana School District Assist Program experienced the fun of the haunted house this year.
